The sales division of Helion S.A. is considered to be a model example of books distribution on the Polish market. Since the beginning of the year 2001 books have been distributed with the exclusion of wholesalers and has consisted in direct cooperation with retailers. The sales division consists of a dozen or so salespeople, efficient logistics division and one of the biggest internet bookstores in Poland.
Sales representatives reach more than 1000 points of sale with company’s offer, providing service within 38 hours. Marketing activities run in points of sale are of great significance for the publisher. Every year sales agents are given nearly 20,000 free of charge POS materials (equipment needed for book display, promotional materials that build brand awareness, materials supporting promotional actions). The sales division consults and coordinates new promotional actions with sales agents, each time giving them materials prepared by the publisher.
